My sister-in-love, Vickie Hitchcock, is alway on the lookout for tasty holiday recipes. She found this one at a local food specialty shop in Springfield, Missouri and immediately saved it for us to try with Classic Country Foods Pumpkin Butter. This dip will be on the Holiday appetizer tray – but sampling starts several days early. The recipe will also work wonderfully with other Classic Country Foods fruit butters: Sweet Potato Butter, Carmel Pecan Apple Butter, Classic Apple Butter and Pear Butter!
1 1/4 cups of Classic Country Foods Pumpkin Butter
8 ounces of cream cheese (one block)
1 cup of Sour Cream
Ginger snaps, vanilla wafers or animal crackers for serving
In mixing bowl blend ingredients until smooth.
Serve in a decorative bowl with crackers on the side for dipping.
I am also going to use this dip as a filling for miniature phyllo tart shells. It should make a nice dessert “bite”.
