Caramel Pecan Apple Butter Old Fashioned Cocktail
This is a delicious holiday drink that can be made with bourbon, or without. Serve it to start your festivities while guests are arriving and the table is being arranged. The garnish of raw sugar around the run (I found caramel flavored sugar), apple slices and a cinnamon stick dress up the drink for your special occasion.
Makes two cocktails
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons Classic Country Foods Caramel Pecan Apple Butter
2 dashes Orange Bitters
2 dashes Lemon Juice
¼ Cup Apple Cider
2 Ounces good Bourbon (flavored is fine)
1 ½ ounces Ginger Beer (can use Ginger ale or Club Soda as substitute)
Granulated or raw sugar (specialty sugars available in drink section of store)
Apple slices and cinnamon sticks as garnish
Directions:
Rim Glasses with lemon juice and then dip in sugar. Add ice to glasses.
In a cocktail shaker add Caramel Pecan Apple Butter, Orange Bitters, Lemon Juice, Apple Cider, Bourbon, and Ginger Beer. Shake to combine and then pour over ice already in glasses. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and apple slices.
For non-alcoholic version simply skip bourbon addition.
